Dear Clinton,
You're an inventor alright, that's pretty obvious. And you don't have any money. That's typical for inventors.
You've already figured out I guess, that rich people don't invent -- they don't have to. It's the guys who want
to improve their lives and the lives of their families that invent, OK? Unfortunately having a great invention
idea and a few thousand bucks to hire a lawyer usually don't happen at the same time. We don't have money to finance
ideas either Clinton. I don't like having to tell you that. Especially you, because your idea sounds like a hell
of a mouse trap. That's just slang for "great." What we do is try to help inventors head off in the right
direction, without falling prey to the "product development scams" that have the money to advertise on
TV, Radio and in Magazines. They are the barracuda's that we wish were out of business. So, what to do -- first,
try going to my web page at ttp://www.doncostar.com I'm not selling anything -- just helping. There you will find
a help letter I wrote to another inventor with just an idea, and it does have some good advice in it. Also, look
up the links I have there. Especially the http://www.uiausa.org and the http://www.inventorsdigest.com They are
two important links for great information. You should become a subscriber to Inventors' Digest right away. It has
back articles in their archives that may be right on target for how to market your idea, OK?
You didn't say whether or not you had any ideas protected in any way. If not, my help letter will get you started
on that -- and it's free. The whole idea is to not spend any money you don't have to, but somewhere down the road
you will have to spend some. Inventing is not cheap -- it's expensive, but the rewards can be worth it. Bottom
line is: Be very cautious of those who ask you for money until you know exactly what it's for, and there is no
other way. If they say they will sell your idea for you -- split! You don't own an idea, and so you can't sell
it, nor can anyone else sell it for you. If you don't have a patent, or at least an application on file, you don't
have any commodity to sell -- got that? There's lots of good advice on my website so read it, plus the ones I link
for you.
They all help.
Very best of luck my friend,
Don Costar,
