Dear Ms. Pallares,
Yes, I can help you get started with protecting your ideas without it costing you any money. Do not call any 800
numbers off TV or Radio, or from magazines that promise to market your ideas. They are mostly scams that you do
not want to have anything to do with. If you will go to our website at http//www.nevadainventors.org and look up
the help information I have written there it will help you get started. But if you think you would rather have
a packet of material to read I will be happy to send it to you. Just give me a mailing address. It is a small package
of information, but stuff that took me years to learn. It has forms for you to use to disclose your idea to a witness,
and some information to help you do a patent search. It is free. I do not charge anything for my information. I
must caution you that if you disclose your ideas to people before you have a patent, or at least a patent application
on file in the patent office, you are at great risk of losing it. You do not have any legal position in a court
without a patent.
I also suggest you become a subscriber to the magazine "Inventors' Digest." It has a section where companies
are listed that are actively seeking new inventions to market, some of them about toys. The magazine can be contacted
by calling 1-800-838-8808 or by going to their website at http//www.inventorsdigest.com It costs $27.00 a year.
They will send you a free copy and a bill for the subscription. The magazine has an archive of back articles that
you can order, and I seem to remember an article or two about marketing toys. I think the back articles are very
reasonable, like 3 or 4 dollars each.
Good luck,
Don Costar,
