Dear Mr. Rodriguez,
Your message has been forwarded to me to answer. But first I would like to offer some advice about your idea. I
don't know if it's just an idea, or if you have already obtained a patent. You didn't say. If it's still just an
idea, then you must protect yourself from scams and rip-offs. OK? First, don't answer any 800 numbers off TV, radio,
or in magazines. Those are mostly scams. You must first do a patentability search, to find out if your idea has
ever been patented. If you will go to our website at http://www.nevadainventors.org and look up the advice I have
written for inventors it will help you get started. If you want to make sure you get a complete package, and you
wish to give me a mailing address I will be happy to send you a packet of material that will help you get started,
with disclosure forms to protect your idea and some advice about doing your search. But please don't send me any
disclosure about your invention. I don't want to know what it is.
If you are not a subscriber to the Inventors' Digest magazine, I suggest you do that as soon as you can. It costs
$27.00 a year, and it is a treasure chest of information for inventors. Plus it has archives of back articles that
may pertain to how you can find manufacturers of security devices. You can call 1-800-838-8808 to order, or go
to their website http://www.inventorsdigest.com
There's also another website that has a lot of information http://www.uiausa.org But I caution you, if you put
your cart before the horse and show your idea to some manufacturer before you have it patented, or at least a patent
application on file with the U.S. Patent Office, you will be at great risk of losing it. You have no legal position
in court without a patent. If you want to have me send you the free packet I will. I don't charge anything for
my help.
It's free. It's what I do.
