Dear Alex,
There are obviously distribution companies who depend on new products from manufacturers in order to keep their
lines fresh and current. As I understand it, the trick to success is to find the "sales representative"
or sales rep for the manufacturing companies that sell to those distributors. OK? To go directly to the distributor,
is wrong. In the first place, an inventor is usually a single product supplier, which is what distributors avoid.
They like to buy from a rep that has a whole catalog of products.
My suggestion, that I learned from Tony Patti, one of our past presidents listed on the front page of Nevada Inventors
Association http://www.nevadainventors.org is to go directly to that sales rep for help. They usually have knowledge
which manufacturers are looking for a new product line, AT THAT TIME. They also usually know if the manufacturer
is willing to put some of his own money on the line to produce your product for you. You find those sales reps
by calling the home office of the distributor, ask for the purchasing department, and request the name and number
of the sales rep they buy from that is relevant to your product. In your case -- putters. (or clubs) You find the
distributor by asking a pro shop at a golf course for a list of the distributors from whom they buy their clubs.
Or, go to the local library and ask for the directories of national distributors and/or manufacturers.
The directory usually has the direct phone numbers of the purchasing departments, or at least the company receptionist.
If you prefer not to do the work yourself, there are companies that are designed to help you market patented products,
or license your patent rights. They advertise in Inventors' Digest magazine. If you're not a subscriber, you should
be. Call 1-800-838-8808 to subscribe. Or go their website http://www.inventorsdigest.com Very helpful website and
full of information.
Here's a list of four other web sites that may also prove helpful: http://www.adesigner.com/invention/ http://www.inventorsipo.com

Hope this is of some benefit to you. You can also send an e-mail to Tony Patti and ask his help or advice. It's
